Can someone contact a moderator at BPT for me? I have been banned because my upload/download ratio is bad. I have my upload limit set to unlimited so I don’t know what the problem is. Is there something else I need to do to make it better? I did not get any e-mail stating how I could fix this. I would appreciate the help. NikoTes is my user name.

“Several ratio warning, has been made to let the user now that he will be banned if he doesn’t seed. (when bad ratio).
Still we will contact via email to this two users and give them the chance to appeal!
Other users wanting to appeal can post a comment here or send us an email!”

I`m interested there`s a lot of articles on casino gambling. There are different methods, tactics, strategies, algorithms of counting, calculations and so on.
But these items are only heap of ads and i don`t want to analyze them `cause i don`t have any basic knowledge. It`s ineffective. Estimation i think will be wrong.
Is there anyone here who is interested in such topic?
I`d appreciate someone`s explaining to me is there any systems or strategies, what are they (what approaches or concepts lay in basis) and in which casinos could they be applied to?

i am a mod at bpt and i dont think you will have been banned for bad ratios as we just cant ban someone straight away
we give warnings 2,3,4 weeks in advance
unfortunately i have been working there for a while due to ill helth but ill be back there once the site is back up

i don’t undrestand afew words in english concerning those bannes and would be greatfull if someone wants to explain it to me plz.
1-What is feeding/seeding?
2-What is uploading?
3-what’s the connection with those and ratio?
This so that i can think about other people for the best relation/result for the site. I know some of you’ll think i’m stupid but i have just a lack of knowledge in comps and torrents. If anyone does want to explain here and help me out, thank you very much!

Best Pokier Torrents has been down for 3 days now. I have uploaded over 500GB there and I’m mad they cannot keep the site up. ThePokerBay does not seem to be taking new registrations either…looks like I may start a new poker torrent site as the current ones can’t keep things going. =(

iv been wondering the same thing, client says it’s offline. I think they recently had a problem with the servers, but I hope this is only temporary as well, they are such a good site. Update from the site admin. would be great.

Yes, it’s a great site. Unfortunately it’s down a lot of the time. Like right now for instance. It’s a shame. Probably in the past month, it’s been down 2 or 3 times for 3-4 days at a time.

BestPokerTorrents is the best poker torrent site. PokerBay is run by idiots. The moderators are so stupid, they can’t understand plain english. So they delete comments in the threads that shouldn’t be deleted. Also the people that are members are totally disrespectful and a bunch of no-mind yahoos. BestPokerTorrents membership are more intelligent, poker savvy and the whole place is more classy and civilized.

What has happened? Been down for a while.
Files I was downloading and seeding have also stopped.
One 49gig file (have downloaded about 40%) had over 30+ seeders and peers and now it is zero.
Hmmm, are we ever gonna know? I went to MMA and asked over there but those guys are quite rude and basically said f**k o**

this is definitely disheartning, They said having problems with the domain, I’m sure it’s legal issues, and on top of that the training sites are douch-bags about scanning for pirated material, so it wouldn’t surprise me if they played a part in this. They must have limited funds, but sites est. @ 19k or so, so…. u decide…. wouldn’t be so bad if adminstration let us know whats going on, but if it’s legal issues, they prob. don’t wanna let the other side know whats goin’ on. pickin up what i’m puttin down? as for the pokerbay, they should just go mainstream, and have people pay but they can get any content in a bit torrent way, and also complete torrents from training sites and much more.

I tried it on Win7 but doesn’t work. Edited the host file, saved, but when I type http://www.bestpokertorrents.com in browser page not found… (With direct IP I get a blank white page.)
I use a home network with router, maybe that is the problem?
(how does the host file working when you use a router configured with the ISP DNS Server?)

It is getting very strange. There was a whole heap of posts yesterday from one of the BPT admins about how to get onto the web page by adding some lines to your host file on your computer
He was not very clear how to do it but gave some good hints how to which I managed to work out so now I can load BPT and go on the web site.
Today those posts have been deleted so maybe he was not suppose to tell anyone how to do it, so I am not sure whether I should post how to do it.
I have posted on the Forum at BPT but no replies or views. I have the chat box open. There is another guy in the chat box called themovieguy but he has not responded.
Most of the torrents have no seeders and some have 1 or 2. Nearly all the Healths are red.
Not much good news but at least I can load the site now.
Let me know if you want me to check anything on the site.

This is entirely speculation on my part but there is a site called besttorrentnetwork.com that seems to be about to open. I was able to get on the site a few days ago and it looked like it was BPT under construction. Possibly the problem is with the domain name and when BPT re-opens it will have a new name.

you need to open notepad as administrator or you can’t save it.
Click Start > Programs > Accessories > and then right click Notepad and click run as administrator.
Navigate to your host file via Notepad and of course you will need to change the filter drop down box to All Files (*.*) and not just .txt
You will then be allowed to save the host file. Make a copy of the host file before changing it in case you ruin it. Cheers, hope this helps and see ya at BPT

Yep it is not looking good, get the following error for BPT and the other sister sites

Guys, really… what are you talking about? BPT is still down. In fact, it doesn´t even appear now at the top of seach results in google as it used to be when you searched “best poker torrents”. It will be a month since the the site is down in just a few days, and the admins haven´t given us any knews… I think we just have accept a very true fact of life: all good things don´t last for long.

I just noticed that in atisz’s post on the second line of what he suggests you put in the host file you actually need to leave out the “http://” part of it. This site automatically puts it in to form a link. So it should read something like:
188.72.202.32 www (and then the rest of whats on the line).

if you read this page carefully the way to access the site is out there for you to find.
I’d still like more opinions on whether there are security concerns with editing the hosts file. Also, some people are saying that some antiviruses are heuristically picking up problems with HTML in the site now.

I’m sorry, but if I have to dig into my registry (or whatever changing the hostfile involves) to access a site, then it is officially dead in my books!
I love(d) BPT and was a dedicated seeder, but I have neither the time nor the inclination (or the know-how!) to start messing around like that, and I’m sure very few others do either.
RIP BPT. I’ll keep checking to see if it comes back, but for now it’s pretty obviously dead!

Chow, it has nothing to do with your registry, it’s just a text file in your windows directory. If you use the editing function in a free program called hostsxpert the whole process takes about 30 seconds.

duhhhhh, normally I’d agree with you about complicating things with extra software but you just would not believe how easy that program is to use. You don’t even have to install it. You just double click on it, fill in the info and close it. You don’t even need to know where the host file is.

I agree 100% with Chow. Besides, how many of the 60,000+ members of BPT do you think are going to actually bother to enter the site following some confusing instructions? i’m up, just had to run notepad as admin, and it worked, and back up your host file btw in case you mess up gl, it doesn’t really matter tho because bpt is gone for now, bottom line. will they come back? maybe, but in the mean time somoneone needs to get busy to build another great torrent site, if bpt can’t keep their site up, i think it’s perfect timing for competition to come on in.

A guy named benyamen at BPT started the site. If you go to BPT and pm him , he will email you an invite. Without the invites the site gets spammed. He tried going without the invites for a while but the spam forced him to go back to the invites.

I don’t know why anyone is ragging on pokerbay. There’s things I can get on pokerbay that I can’t get on bestpokertorrents, and vice versa. The problem with both of them however is that they DON’T EXIST. It’s time for a new poker tracker, or just a new section at an existing tracker.
Neither of them has a proper status page or thread in an off-site forum. Pokerbay apparently has a tweet page, but they won’t tell you anything. If a tracker won’t tell you why they’re offline, often enough the reason is stupid and embarrasing. It’s not always a server or hosting issue. There’s plenty of members who have resources to help with that, including me. I can’t however help with infighting or coding hold-ups that didn’t need to be done in the first place.
The only thing a poker tracker needs to be is UP. It doesn’t need to look fancy, or reinvent the tracker wheel. I’ve got a ton of poker items to seed, other things I’m hoping to download, and nowhere to do either of them.

For all we know the server could be down because they are hooking up the new BPT site. Just because BPT is down for a few days certainly doesn’t mean that it doesn’t exist.

Maybe the poker training sites and/or poker book writers have to do something about all of this. Maybe they won the legal battle and BPT and Pokerbay were forced to close their sites for good… God, I really hope that`s not the case, but you have to admit that is very suspicious that BOTH sites went down at almost the same time.

Can’t say for sure but this is what I do know:
N4nemesis was leading a small group buy of one of Tri’s books, The Poker Blueprint. One of the other members, Taw420, involved in the book buy had asked Tri to pm him because Taw wanted to know when the book would be out. I don’t know what happened but Taw420, the following day, started selling all of his poker books on the web and only went back to pokervpip for the sole purpose of deleting all of his posts. He sold his last book on February 25, the same day Poker Blueprint came out and although prior to his contacting Tri he had been a prolific poster; on February 25 he disappeared from the web.
On February 25, n4nemesis announced that he had received Tri’s book and had distributed it to the people who had chipped in to buy it. That was n4nemesis’ last post. He immediately disappeared from the web. I know n4nemesis’ real name and the names he plays poker under online. He hasn’t been online for any reason since February 25. He hasn’t been on his facebook page; he hasn’t played poker online.
All roads seem to lead to Tri. And today pokervpip has disappeared from the web.

In fact, I’m wondering why people are presumably scared that some “copyright” authority could make something against their site and still downloading/uploading illegal stuff? It makes no sense to me. Also, just giving you a hint, online poker is illegal in US, right? It’s like cracking and duplicating some heroin manufacture’s manuals on how-to-tips to doing, getting intoxicated and finally selling it. Poker it’s not music, movies, games, etc, etc. You cannot count THE “population” and a real cost of duplication when it comes to poker, mma, etc. Porn non-paid sites would have never survived….if so…

I was only referring to pokervpip.com in my post. I have no idea why BPT is down. Although Tri has in fact threatened BPT a number of times. Pokervpip, though, was more vulnerable being that it was based in the UK.
Poker online isn’t at all illegal in the US (except if a particular state makes it illegal). The congress put some restrictions on where the sites can be based and some restrictions on how money can be transferred. A lot of pokersites don’t allow US players simply because they didn’t want to deal with the possibility of the Bush administration coming after them for being some kind of terrorist entity as they did with the founders of Netteller. The laws didn’t provide clarity.
As far as Tri goes, in my opinion, he is a huckster plain and simple. In organized crime you see thugs come down heavy on anyone who threatens their operations. I don’t see Tri much differently, hyping himself up as a great poker player and then selling his “secrets” for thousands of dollars and then coming down heavy on anyone who might present a threat.
And I certainly don’t see 6 people chipping in to buy a book all that big of a crime.

n4nemesis/benyamen is the most prolific e-book seller on the planet, he made $10k+ selling those books on freelance sites before they all became public. He sold me memoirs of aejones for $175. I know this for a fact from several others (pokerebooks and pokaman on scriptlance) who did the same thing and all of them said he was the king.
I deleted all my posts on that pokervpip site because it was to sketchy for me. I did PM Tri/slowhabit on 2p2 about the book because I was going to buy it from him legitimately. Then I decided to see if the pokervpip crowd wanted to chip in and group buy it so I made the thread. My main reasoning behind this was to get some one on there to crack it so I wouldn’t have to deal with the lock lizard software and I could print it move it on my laptop or desktop etc… After I got the book I deleted all my posts there because I no longer want to be a part of their community.
Anyways I don’t play a lot of poker anymore but I still browse BPT and 2p2. Just wanted to clear my name because obviously someone has been feeding you guys some very bad info.

I never said you sold any ebooks, I was talking about real books. You sold both your poker books and your sports betting books on the web and you did in fact start to sell them the day after you contacted Tri. You know perfectly well what I’m talking about. Anyone can go to 2+2 and see this for themselves.
So one day you were interested enough in poker to contact Tri and the very next day you decided to give up poker and sell all your books? Give me a break.
And yes you did start the group buy that apparently got n4nemesis busted.
The Poker Blueprint didn’t have locklizard or any other kind of overt protection on it. This was announced long before the book was released; so the rational behind your very odd assertion that you both bought the book legitimately and started a group book buy makes no sense.

The problem with that statement is that you deleted your posts about 2 weeks before the book came out. And you never again even visited the site after that. Not even once. So that statement is utterly false. You had been a very active member up until that point and had made 22 posts.
Your accusation that n4nemesis was the most prolific ebook seller on the planet and made $10k is information that you couldn’t possibly have access to even if it were true. And how can you have sole access to this info? All of his posts at BPT criticized people who sold these materials for a profit and in all the time I knew him he never indicated any desire to do this. You seem to be building up a case against n4nemesis. I don’t understand why you are doing that.
By the way… clear your name of what? No one had accused you of anything.

My sole purpose for starting the group buy interest thread of Poker Blueprint was for removing the DRM I thought it had because all of his other books had it. I contacted slowhabit to find out when the book would be released. He PMed back and told me, that was it.
The only reason I went to pokervpip and post was to gain access to the private members area which sucked. I no longer had use for the site so I deleted my posts. I was sent a PM with a link to download the book after I had deleted my posts I downloaded it and never went there again.
I sold my 2p2 books because I had read them and no longer had any use for them. Check my posts on 2p2 I’ve done this several other times. I use the money to buy more books etc.. I’m an avid reader.
As for poker I’ve played since ‘03 supported myself in ‘06 when I got out of the Army for a year. But now the games are pretty tough I have a good job and don’t really find it interesting anymore.
As for benyamen/n4nemesis he sold the shit out of all the e-books he got them from thevault.biz he got kicked out of there because they found out he was selling them. Then he got kicked out of several freelance sites. He also sold on scriptlance and I’m very good friends with two of the biggest e-book sellers on there who were friends with him and they gave me the whole scoop on him etc… He was also PMing people on BPT selling them that way, that’s how I first met him and how I acquired memoirs of aejones. A lot of sketchy shit has gone on in regards to those ebooks that many people are completely unaware of.

BPT seems to be down - again. I had just joined, my seed should be above .5 - Wish they would give credit like torrentday otherwise keeping seed up is near impossible - could only download newest popular stuff. Patience is a virtue, everything will get fixed and you will get your accounts, invites and passwords.
btw, if u know your password and have an account you have no problems to download and use the network sites or the tracker.
Malfunction is only with the emails. So yeah that’s why u can always send emails to besttorrentnetwork@gmail.com just remember I can’t do anything for you if you can’t get retrive your password, I don’t know your password it’s encrypted on the DB and the only way is to send it thru the internal system, so yeah mail delivery must be fixed.
The same with new accounts, when it’s fixed you’ll recieve the confirmation emails (or u will be able to ask for a confirmation again)

Hi - I’ve been a member of bestmmatorrents now for about 1 year or so, but my laptop broke, and I can’t remember my password. I’ve tried the “recover email” process, and it says that it was successful and will email me a new password. However, I never get an email… I must have tried it about 20 or 30 times now over the last week…
Any chance you can do this manually or help me out at all?

My account is pretty well seeded and I would very much want to be able to use it again so what i’m asking is: Will it be possible in the near future to recover my password?

You have the same problem as moody, just get your localhost fixed to default (delete what u added when the site was migrating) and all should be fine.
btw, yeah I haven’t replied the emails asking about this issue yet becouse I wanted to check with the tech admin and directly send you the localhost working file on the email

I’ve been banned from BestPokerTorrents by a moderator named movieguy. I’ve been a member there for the past two years. Anyone who has been there for any length of time probably knows who I am bacause I’m one of the most prolific posters on the site.
My problem with movieguy started when he called a new member an idiot for not knowing what a passkey was (how many people know what a passkey is?). That member had signed on to the site literally minutes before being called an idiot. I told the movieguy that the member had been treated with complete disrespect. movieguy deleted that post, deleted another post elsewhere and went into my account and reduced my ratio.
Three times I asked him to, “please stop deleting my post”. I was then banned for reposting. He then typed into the shoutbox, “poof, next?”
I’ve been a member in good standing for the past 2 years. Movieguy commonly treats people badly. When new members are treated badly I feel that it’s important to say something, otherwise new members will do what is easiest and safest, which is to simply fade into the background. If a I don’t say something who will? The problem will just continue forever.
Viceroid, I know that you want BPT to be a friendly community but if a moderator who runs the day to day operations has other ideas the site actually becomes what he wants it to be, not what you want it to be.
I’m asking that my ban be lifted and just as importantly that the moderators be reminded that basic respect should always be given to the members. I’ve also sent you an email.

btw, yeah MovieGuy is the most respected admin on the entire site, so if he says something you should really obey…don’t be lame and start bugging him if he does something you don’t agree with….
let it be dude, btw this is your last chance, next time I’ll judge it directly and it could become a perma delete from our userbase

As far as the second post goes, I heartily disagree with your appraisal of movieguy but I’m not about to get into that. As soon as I got back to the site I found out that I wasn’t the only person banned because of the incident. That’s got to tell you something.
